Smart Talk: Making Powerfully Persuasive Presentations

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Pump up your persuasive power and register now this free webinarWhen asking others for their time or money you need to be prepared, that is, if you’re going to get the answer you’re looking for! It takes time, thought, and knowledge to effectively condense your ideas into crisp, compelling messages. Persuasive presentations are not about just saying things right; they are about saying just the right thing.

In this presentation you’ll learn Dr. Robert Cialdini’s principles of influence and how to practically apply these principles to persuasive presentations. Ultimately, facts are not the way to best lead, motivate, and inspire. Powerful persuasive presentations instead, rely on effective audience analysis, solid storytelling, and figurative language.

When presentations (or training sessions) go horribly wrong it usually boils down to one thing: the presentation didn’t resonate with the audience. This section of the presentation will discuss a process to put your audience first for both internal and external audiences. The main section of the webinar will cover business storytelling. You’ll understand why storytelling in business is so important and how to effectively tell persuasive business stories. This section will outline the core elements necessary for telling an effective and efficient business story and will showcase real world examples. The final section will briefly cover figurative language as a tool for inspirational influence. It will cover metaphors, analogies, anaphora, and chiasmus.

Attendees also get the following tools:

•  External Audience Analysis Form
•  Internal Audience Analysis Form
•  Storytelling Cheat Sheet
•  Guide to Figurative Language

I didn’t make the recording. I am still waiting for the producer to send me the file. If I don’t get it soon, I’ll just deliver the presentation again and record myself. In fact, I would be willing to deliver it for your organization… if you would send out invitations on my behalf. What do you think? The presentations are better when I have a real audience!

You’ve got a deal! Let me know how we can work through the logistics.

I’ll bring the audience, the training room, presentation equipment …and the snacks!

Sorry for the delay – I wasn’t flagged via email on the response.
