Rider and Room Set-up Requests

Thank you for inviting Lisa to be a part of your upcoming event!

The way we look at it, Lisa is working for you, and along side of you, to make sure that your attendees are engaged, entertained, and educated. You can count on her to be prepared to deliver an outstanding performance.

For speaker programs less than 2 hours long please use: Speaker Room Set-up Requests
For training programs longer than 2 hours long please use: Training Room Set-up Requests

Speaker Room Set-up Requests: The setup of the room can have a substantial impact on the experience the audience walks away with. You can have confidence that Lisa has presented in all different types of environments and part of her service to you is that she can work within whatever limitations you may have. However, it’d be great if you could assist Lisa by doing your best to make the following ideal accommodations:

  • Please provide a photograph of the room in advance of the program.
  • Please allow Lisa to use her own laptop since she may have video and/or audio clips, embedded into his presentation. She has a Mac, but he will bring the necessary VGA and DVI adapter cables.
  • Please allow Lisa to have her laptop on stage sitting upon a small round pub/bar style table with dimensions as close as possible to height of 3.5’ and diameter of 2’.
  • At least one projector and screen setup for a laptop computer. Please have the screen(s) setup to where they are not in the middle of the stage, as she will be walking in that space most of the time.
  • A stage (if more than 150 people will be in the audience).
  • Please set-up the room wide vs. deep if possible.
  • Sound to be available directly from laptop through the house speakers.
  • Microphone preference (in order): wireless lapel, wireless headset, wireless handheld, wired lapel, wired handheld. If possible please have backup readily available. No mic necessary if less than 50 attendees.
  • Please no food or servers coming in or out of the room during the presentation.
  • Please no recording devices unless approved in advance.
  • Please make available (1) 8 foot table or (1) 6 foot table for our additional resources. It is also highly preferred that the audience have a break immediately before and immediately following Lisa’s presentation. Following her presentation it is good to have at least 20 minutes for pictures/autographs. (You know how people like to take pictures and put them on social media!)
  • Please notify us of an hour of time we can use to setup the resource table before the attendees arrive. Having wall power and an Internet connection is vital for our resource table, so if there is an easy way for you to arrange that, it really helps us. If Internet is something that isn’t available then please let us know and we’ll bring our own hotspot.
  • If convenient, please schedule 35 minutes for Lisa to be able to walk the stage of the speaking area to perform a sound check.
  • If convenient, please have a large clock in clear sight from the stage so she can help keep the schedule.
  • Please check with us before posting any of our content (slides, handouts) online for download and please do not include any of our slides into handouts for the audience without discussing it with us.

Additionally, we’ve noticed that many of our clients sometimes have questions about the following items.

  • Diet: Although Lisa does not follow any strict diet restrictions, she strongly prefers seafood and veggies and is often the easiest way to go.
  • Gifts: Please do not feel obligated to give Lisa a gift or plaque—really. Lisa typically has little space for transporting and when shipped often get broken. If it is customary and very important to your group and you really want to give Lisa something know that she likes business books and her daughters like chocolate. However the best gift you can provide Lisa is your sincere appreciation (and if you want go one step further…demonstrate the appreciation via positive review of her books via Amazon or in a email for use on her website.)
  • Other: We are coming to support you and your team. We pride ourselves on being very easy and fun to work with and understand that we are a small part of your event. If you want to make Lisa feel comfortable before going on stage, then having 1 or 2 bottles of room temperature water available would be great. And if you want to go over the top, some hot tea with honey and cream right before going on stage would be awesome and make Lisa a happy camper!

Thank you for taking time to review these requests. We look forward to meeting you and your group very soon and to having a fantastic program.
