This year I decided to invest in publicity training. I went with training from Steve Harrison over at Bradley Communications and so far I have been very impressed with the training.  (I was a HUGE skeptic and fully expected that I would be asking for a refund!)

I’m happy to report that, so far, I’ve been delighted with training.  More importantly I have been impressed with the caliber of people I have been meeting who are fellow attendees.

I was hoping for some  publicity “aha” moments for the training, but this past week I experienced a personal “aha”… I met one of the other attendees (Frederic Leyd).  He  made a BIG  impression on me.  Although he isn’t touting himself as an expert in communication, he is a genuine expert.

To be very clear, it’s extremely hard to put words on what I observed, but I am going to try…

Throughout our training, I watched him interact and connect with people during the breaks in a genuine way that takes most of us (including me) years to develop and nurture. It was more than instant rapport, it was almost as if he was able to hear the inner voice of those around him.

After the training was over, I  noticed that many people waited patiently to talk with him just so that they would have the chance to interact with him one-on-one.  He wasn’t selling anything.  He was listening to them.  He was giving them his full attention, he was reading their bodies and he was helping them in very profound ways.

I’ve never met someone like this before.  Really, never.  There is something special about this person. Intuitive, genuine, and compassionate.  I’ve been thinking about it ever since I met him and I can ‘t stop thinking about it.

Interestingly, he worked as a circus acrobat (a hand balancer) from a very young age.  Because of this training and experience, he is keenly in tune with his body and has an extremely deep knowledge of body.

He seems to notice things about the human body that I don’t think many of us pay any attention to or even notice.  It seems like something that goes unnoticed by me is a bright red target to him- something he can’t ignore. And because he is compassionate and sincerely wants to help people  he freely offers his help (that is if someone asks for it).   It’s extraordinary.

I am struggling with this post becuase I really can’t find the right words to accurately describe what I experienced first hand. In my opinion his website does not represent him well, but then again, I’m not sure how anyone with this ability would be able to describe it so that others would believe it.
