Developing Leadership Through Reading

Reading Is A Great Way Learn Leadership
I think one of the best ways (and most inexpensive ways) to develop your leadership skills is through books and podcasts. I love learning new things. For me, though it’s particularly great when I am able to apply what I’ve learned and I see a positive result!

That’s why I love Jeff Brown’s new podcast, Read to Lead.

How to Deal with Difficult People

Tom Tenderheart is the CEO of a major widget company. Faced with lower-than-expected third quarter results, he calls a meeting of his nine top executives. At the boardroom table sit Terri Tattletale, Chris Curmudgeon, Ned Know-It-All, Wendy Whiner, Billy Bully, Steve Slacker, Paul Procrastinator, Chad Chatterbox, and Carrie Coldshoulder.

Women in STEM Conference

There are very few speaking engagements that I do that are open to the public.  This is one of those rare opportunities.  If you live in the Lancing Michigan area, I’ll be the keynote speaker for the Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Conference.  The conference is October 17-18, but you can register just for the keynote.
